Linda M. Arneson
Chief Operating Officer
Linda Arneson is Delta Dental of Colorado’s Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Arneson is responsible for oversight of Delta Dental’s operations, including claims, customer service, provider relations, and information technology. She provides senior level input to corporate long-range strategic business plans and business continuity plans.
Ms. Arneson’s professional experience includes 37 years with Delta Dental of Colorado. She has supplemented her on-the-job training with a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from Regis University. In 2004, she completed the Program for Management Development (PMD) at Harvard University School for Business Administration. She also completed the Executive Program in Strategy and Organization at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Ms. Arneson exemplifies Delta Dental’s philanthropic corporate culture by volunteering her time as a member of the Board of the Girl Scouts of Colorado Council.
Linda lives in the Denver-metro area with her husband of 15 years, Larry. In her free time, she has committed to learning the game of golf. She also enjoys quilting and cooking.
Dr. Fiona Collins
Dental Director
Dr. Fiona Collins serves as Dental Director for Delta Dental of Colorado. Dr. Collins is responsible for oversight of the dental program. This means she ensures that the most recent oral health research is used in all aspects of program development. She also ensures Delta Dental’s dual network is maintained in a robust fashion.
Dr. Collins has clinical education and training, as well as marketing and professional relations experience. She practiced as a general dentist for 13 years, and has authored and presented continuing education articles and courses in the US and Canada on a variety of topics. Dr. Collins’ prior experience includes professional relations and marketing for companies in the implant, professional and consumer product areas, as well as general management experience.
Dr. Collins is a past member of the Academy of General Dentistry Health Foundation Strategy Board and has been a member of the British Dental Association, the Dutch Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Collins earned her dental degree from Glasgow University and holds an MBA and MA from Boston University.
Fiona enjoys giving back to her community by serving as a board member and treasurer of the Longmont Symphony Orchestra. She is extremely well-traveled, having lived and worked in five different countries. In her free time, Fiona enjoys playing music, cooking and traveling.

Jean Lawhead:
Vice President Sales and Marketing
Jean Lawhead is Delta Dental of Colorado’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Ms. Lawhead is responsible for providing high-level leadership to the sales and marketing team.
Ms. Lawhead developed a strong business foundation early in her career, by earning two degrees: a bachelor’s degree and a master’s, both from the University of Northern Colorado. She has continually enhanced her business knowledge by receiving certification in strategic business partnerships and board direction.
Ms. Lawhead’s education and specialized training have allowed her to become a leader in her field. She now heads Delta Dental’s sales and marketing department, employing a style of executive leadership that enables her staff to thrive, while growing Delta Dental’s membership. Specifically, Ms. Lawhead provides long-range, strategic direction for sales and marketing programs and policies. She works with her staff to enhance Delta Dental’s product offerings and meet ever-changing customer needs.
Ms. Lawhead personifies Delta Dental’s corporate culture of community service by participating in University of Northern Colorado Monfort College of Business Dean’s Leadership Council, as well as by serving on the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries of Denver.
Jean resides in the Denver area. She enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time with friends and family, and collecting antiques.
Kathryn Paul:
President and Chief Executive Officer
Long-time health care executive and Denver community leader Kathryn Paul was named president of Delta Dental of Colorado on August 1, 2001. Paul retired as president of Kaiser Permanente's western operations in December 1999, following a nearly 30-year career with the nation's largest not-for-profit HMO. In addition to responsibilities for Kaiser's operations in Colorado, Kansas City, Portland and Hawaii, she served as president of Kaiser Group Health, which supported Kaiser's affiliation with Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound.
Paul began her career with Kaiser Permanente in 1970 and advanced through a series of management positions with the organization in California, Connecticut, Ohio and Colorado. She was named president of the Rocky Mountain division in 1994, with responsibilities for $900 million in revenues and more than 5,000 employees in Colorado and Kansas City. In 1998, Paul assumed responsibility of Kaiser's western operations, with responsibilities for more than $2.5 billion in revenues, 11,000 employees and one million members.
Among her numerous business and civic activities, Paul is past chair and a retired member of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Denver Branch; a director of the Colorado Trust; the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce; and Volunteers of America. She also serves as a trustee of the Denver Art Museum. She has served on two publicly traded company Boards and numerous non-profit organizations.
She is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University's Graduate School of Business and holds a master's degree in public health, hospital administration from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
