Kathryn Paul, President & Chief Executive Officer

Kathryn Paul is president and CEO of Delta Dental of Colorado. Prior to Delta Dental, Ms. Paul served as president, group operations west, for Kaiser Permanente. She earned a bachelor’s in sociology from the University of California. Later, she received her master’s in public health from the University of California, Berkeley, where she majored in hospital administration. Ms. Paul completed the Advanced Management Program in 1984 at Harvard University. She is the past chair of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Denver Branch. She currently serves as a director of the Colorado Trust, and is on the board of directors of COPIC, Exempla Health Care, and the Denver Art Museum. She is also an officer for the Delta Dental Plans Association.

Linda Arneson, Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Linda Arneson is Delta Dental of Colorado’s chief operating officer. She is responsible for oversight of claims, customer service, provider relations and information technology. Ms. Arneson’s experience includes 37 years with Delta Dental of Colorado. She earned a bachelor’s of arts degree in business administration from Regis University. She also completed continuing education programs at Harvard University and Stanford University.

David Beal, Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

David Beal is Delta Dental of Colorado’s vice president of finance and chief financial officer. He directs the company’s financial activities and oversees underwriting. Mr. Beal’s background includes senior executive positions at insurance and health care companies. He has a bachelor’s of business administration from Cleveland State University

Dr. Fiona Collins, Dental Director

A general dentist for 13 years, Dr. Fiona Collins now serves as the director of Delta Dental of Colorado’s dental program. Dr. Collins has authored and presented articles and courses on a variety of oral health topics. She earned her dental degree from Glasgow University. She holds master’s of business administration and master’s of arts degrees from Boston University.

Jean Lawhead, Vice President Sales & Marketing

Jean Lawhead provides high-level sales and marketing leadership for Delta Dental of Colorado. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Northern Colorado. Ms. Lawhead is on the University of Northern Colorado Monfort College of Business Dean’s Leadership Council and the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries of Denver.

Barbara Springer, J.D., General Counsel & Vice President Administration

Barbara Springer oversees administration and serves as Delta Dental of Colorado’s general counsel. She also is executive director of the Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation. Ms. Springer’s background includes 19 years in health law. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Juris Doctorate degree from John Marshall Law School. Ms. Springer is affiliated with several professional associations and serves on the Colorado Symphony Orchestra Board of Trustees.
